Job Summary/Basic Function

Maryville University is accepting applications for a Head Swim & Dive Coach.  The Head Swim & Dive Coach will provide a positive student-athlete experience while striving to become a highly competitive swimming/diving program.  The successful candidate must be committed to fostering a welcoming environment for a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.

• Recruiting qualified student-athletes and monitoring student-athlete academic progress
• Administration and coaching of the swimming/diving program, including staff supervision
• Scheduling contests and practices; organizing travel and game day preparations
• Organizing and managing the budget responsibly
• Commitment to the University, Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) and NCAA rules and regulations
• Fundraising for the swimming/diving program

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Thorough understanding of the game and technical aspects in the sport of swimming/diving.
• The ability to effectively teach team and individual skills connected with team and player development.
