Job Summary/Basic Function

The Cyber Fusion Center is accepting applications for a graduate assistant for the 2020-2021 academic year.

1. Audit learning outcomes in individual cyber security syllabi to determine appropriateness of written learning outcomes in reaching the program goals.
2. Assist in the application submission for Maryville Cyber to attain the NSA/DHS Center of Excellence.
3. Participate with faculty to lead Cyber Fusion Center activities.

Expected Learning Outcomes:
1. Develop an information security program that aligns with organizational strategies by evaluating business requirements, applicable laws, regulations, standards, and best practices.
2. Integrate confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) concepts into the development of an information security program.
3. Evaluate and recommend information and security technologies to support the information security

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• High level of competency in the use of technology
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Special Instructions to Applicants

Candidates must be first year students in the following programs: Software Development, Cybersecurity or Business Data Analytics starting in August 2020. Selected candidate must be a student in good standing in the academic program and at the University. Compensation includes a stipend of $1500 per semester ($3000 for the year),  and up to 12 hours of tuition credit for the 2020-21 academic year.
