Job Summary/Basic Function
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion works with the Maryville University community to make our campus a welcoming place for everyone. The InclusiveMU Student Program Coordinator will learn how to research and implement diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice programs with an inclusive lens in mind. This position will allow the employee to gain more knowledge and expertise regarding inclusive programming for all social identities. • Minimum 2.5 GPA • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree • Positive attitude and eager to learn Growth mindset• Preferred majors: Communication, Education, Psychology, Business, Liberal Studies, Management & Leadership, or Marketing• Understanding or willingness to learn about cultural differences and cultural competence• Excellent writing, organizational and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently as well as with a team • Willingness to engage in activities that will encourage introspection and self-reflection; open-mindedness and inquiry; and empathy and intentionality.• Introductory knowledge and understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Experience in program development, and strong communication and research skills.
