Job Summary/Basic Function

Maryville University is seeking a dynamic and innovative Coordinator for Athletic Communications. This role is integral in managing the dissemination of information for the university’s athletic programs, ensuring effective communication with the conference office, NCAA, media, and the public.

Responsibilities:

Statistics and Reporting:
Compile and report game day pre- and post-game statistics for assigned athletic programs to the conference office and NCAA as required.

Broadcast Support:
Assist with the campus obligations for the GLVC Sports Network, including setup, broadcast production, and talent acquisition.

Media Relations:
Set up and break down media relations equipment on game days, including laptops, printers, and broadcast equipment/cameras.

Graphic Design:
Serve as the graphic designer for the department, creating visual content for various media platforms.

Photography Coordination:
Coordinate individual headshots and team photos for all athletic programs.

Website Maintenance:
Maintain and update the athletics website to ensure timely and accurate information.

Content Creation:
Write and publish pre- and post-game stories for designated athletic contests.

Minimum Qualifications

General understanding of collegiate athletic sports information, broadcast streaming, and social media platforms.
Ability to be innovative and adapt within the evolving collegiate athletic landscape.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to be innovative in an ever-changing collegiate athletic landscape.
Four year college education
