This role will facilitate the implementation of clinical objectives of the Nursing Program ensuring that the educational objectives of the program are attained, including the promotion and maintenance of high academic standards within the program.
Responsibilities: • Facilitate client selection to aid the student’s fulfillment of course objectives. • Evaluate the effectiveness of the clinical learning experience. • Annually collaborate with clinical faculty to evaluate clinical facilities utilized. • Maintain positive relationship with clinical site(s) personnel. • Attend coordinating meetings with affiliating clinical sites. • Maintain data base on student immunization status, current CPR status, TB screening, required health records and background checks. • Review clinical training guidelines for students prior to clinical experience. • Arrange and participate in clinical orientation as required by agency. • Develop and review written clinical orientation plan. • Review and revise student clinical evaluation forms. • Work with Program Director in coordinating clinical sites. • Arrange clinical practicum sites for all nursing specialties. • Participate in the development and revision of clinical course syllabi. • Identify, hire, orient and help evaluate adjunct clinical faculty in collaboration with Director. • Coordinate and maintain clinical agency contracts • Participate in department, school and university committees as assigned.
