Job Summary/Basic Function
Maryville University is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Campus Events Manager. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating memorable experiences that enhance student life, foster community engagement, and contribute to the overall vibrancy of campus. This individual will be in charge of managing various campus events from start to finish, including set up, audiovisual, food and beverage, security, parking, etc. Essential Responsibilities: • Coordinating and executing assigned campus events, including catering, set up, audio visual, branding, security, etc. • Providing analysis support and reporting for the Campus Events Department.• Participating in all communication between facilities, catering, and event contacts to ensure a high degree of excellence.• Bringing forth innovation and suggestions for improvement, challenging the department to stay fresh.• Meeting deadlines and event timelines• Managing the billing process for all assigned events.
• Minimum of two years of event management experience to include space management, vendor management, set-ups, audiovisual, catering, etc., for all types of events.• Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, project management skills, and customer service skills• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution• Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends.
