The Nursing Learning Lab Coordinator will provide leadership in the Nursing Learning Lab to create an active learning environment that promotes student-centered learning aimed at attaining educational objectives and high academic standards within the program. This position requires a blend of organizational skills, educational expertise, and leadership qualities to facilitate a dynamic and enriching learning experience for students.
Essential Responsibilities: • Maintain a clean, safe Learning Laboratory environment in which students can learn and demonstrate mastery of skills. • Collaborate with faculty to schedule and plan appropriate, innovative Learning Laboratory educational experiences to meet the course objectives in preparation for clinical. • Teaching load to be determined by Director of Undergraduate Nursing Programs • Collaborate with Simulation Coordinator and IT specialist to maintain and replace lab equipment as required. • Maintain inventory and order nursing learning laboratory supplies including supplies for skills courses. Collaborate with course materials provider to order and distribute student supply bags. • Coordinate all aspects of nursing skills courses each semester. • Coordinate student skills course remediation as needed. • Supervise all NLL adjunct staff including hiring, evaluation. scheduling, contracts, and payroll approvals. • Provide orientation for faculty to the Nursing Learning Laboratory • Schedule laboratory faculty and open-lab using data to determine needs for each semester. • Coordinate quality assurance programs including evaluation of lab and lab instructors.
