Do you have a strong background in benefits administration and some experience in human resources? If yes, we have the perfect job for you! We are currently seeking a Benefits and HR Operations Coordinator to join our team at Maryville University.
As the Benefits and HR Operations Coordinator you will play a critical role in overseeing our benefits plans and handling the day-to-day tasks in support of our human resources department. You will work closely with the HR team, managers, and employees to ensure that all benefits and HR processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with university policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with our broker and oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits. - Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, including processing employee documents in our HRIS system. - Supports the HR team and university with report requests and various campus events. - Process invoices for the HR Department. - Coordinate and oversee annual open enrollment process for all benefit plans. - Maintain accurate employee records and data in HRIS system. - Completes required annual surveys including CUPA, IPEDS, and Worker’s Compensation. - Manages employee wellness program in conjunction with the Wellness Committee. - Provide guidance to employees on benefits-related matters.

Minimum Qualifications
|
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field - Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration and HR - Strong knowledge of benefit plans, FMLA process, and workers compensation process - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Experience using HRIS systems and advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to handle confidential information and maintain a high level of professionalism - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - SHRM and/or HRCI certification is a plus
