Position Overview:
Maryville University is seeking a motivated and creative Digital Marketer to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the university's digital presence, supporting social media strategies, and promoting the Maryville brand across various digital platforms. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the development and execution of digital marketing initiatives that engage and attract prospective students, alumni, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Digital Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with Maryville University's overall marketing goals and brand identity.
2. Social Media Management: Manage and curate content for Maryville University's social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more. Monitor engagement, respond to comments, and analyze social media performance to optimize strategies across the university ecosystem. Create synergy and lift with organic social media to align with vendor partners.
3. Content Creation: Create compelling and relevant digital content, including longform content, graphics, short reels, and infographics, to engage the university's target audience and convey the Maryville brand effectively.
4. Website Management: Working with our Director of UX, contribute to frontend maintenance and improvement of the university's website, ensuring that content is up to date, user friendly, and aligns with SEO best practices.
5. Email Marketing: Work with other teams across the university to plan and execute email marketing campaigns to engage current students, alumni, and prospective students. Monitor email performance, continuously test strategies and optimize campaigns.
6. Data Analysis: Utilize analytics tools to track the performance of digital marketing efforts, compile reports, and provide insights to drive decision making and improvements.
7. Brand Consistency: Working with our Director of Brand Activation, ensure consistency of the Maryville University brand across all digital channels and materials, adhering to brand guidelines.
8. Paid Advertising: Collaborate with the marketing team and external vendors to manage and optimize digital advertising campaigns, including pay per click (PPC), display ads, and social media advertising.
9. Collaboration: Work closely with cross functional teams, including admissions, student life, student success, academic affairs, donor and alumni relations to align digital marketing efforts with broader university objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing. • Proficiency in social media management, content creation, and SEO best practices. • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions. • Familiarity with digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Creative mindset and ability to think outside the box, and not afraid to bring ideas to the table. • Knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.). • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Pardot). • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce) with the desire to continuously learn the platform.
