Job Summary/Basic Function
The primary responsibilities of the Graduate Assistant in the Division of Operational Excellence include the support of the mission of the division by ensuring effective operations, which directly support students at Maryville University. The GA will assist with the processing of gifts made to the university through crowdfunding, handle the creation of process documentation to support these efforts, and will support the university in ensuring processes are in line with appropriate standards and best practices.POSITION REQUIREMENTSResponsibilities include but are not limited to the following:• Process gifts made to the university through crowdfunding, including but not limited to creating or updating donor records, recording the gift(s) made, and ensuring accuracy of all data related to the donor and the gift• Create process documentation and/or a training manual for how gifts are processed to ensure continuity and consistency of how gifts are handled• Conduct research of published information and through personal outreach/interviews to aid in establishing best practices for gift processing, the use of the database/CRM to support it, maintaining compliance with any applicable regulations, and/or donor recognition specifically as it relates to crowdfunding• Performing data audits ensuring data entry alignment with established best practices and identifying gaps in processesLEARNING OUTCOMESThrough this experience, the Graduate Assistant in the Division of Operational Excellence will:1) Gain relevant experience with gift processing and crowdfunding campaigns2) Obtain transferrable skills for database/CRM management and the management of a campaign3) Demonstrate the ability to create accurate process documentation and/or training manuals4) Validate research and analytical skills5) Cultivate the ability to collaborate within a team across various departments on campus and the Maryville community
• Creative, innovative, detail-oriented self-starter• Strong technology skills• Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, manage priorities, and meet deadlines• Ability to work both independently and with a team• Bachelor’s degree required• Must be accepted and enrolled in a master’s degree program at Maryville University
